Adam Burrows and Trevor Hopwood have never enjoyed particularly good luck at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge competition, and Saturday’s season-finale event unfortunately provided another chapter in that unloved history. Sharing the No. 12 Infinity Audio Kia Forte Koup as part of the Kinetic Motorsports championship-bound effort, Hopwood started the race from 15th in class on the 71-car GS and ST-class grid.
Trevor Hopwood will start the final GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge race of the year from the eighth row after the Kinetic Motorsports squad once again put in an outstanding effort to have the No. 12 Infinity Audio Kia Forte Koup ready to go for qualifying at Mid-Ohio. Hopwood will open the 2.5-hour race from behind the wheel before turning the car over to co-driver Adam Burrows to bring to the finish.
Adam Burrows and Trevor Hopwood have been restless the last few weeks as the championship duo have counted down the days ahead of this weekend’s GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge season finale at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
Adam Burrows and Trevor Hopwood combined to take an eighth place finish in Saturday’s B+ Foundation Heroes 200 with the No. 12 Infinity Audio Kia Forte Koup in round nine of the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge championship. Burrows opened the race from ninth on the grid and by the 15th trip around the 2.25-mile circuit, had worked his way up to sixth in the order.
Adam Burrows will start the B+ Foundation Heroes 200 from the fifth row after a fast lap time of 1:34.529 seconds in the No. 12 Infinity Audio Kia Forte Koup for Kinetic Motorsports. Saturday’s race at New Jersey Motorsports Park is the penultimate round of the 2011 Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge championship. Burrows will start the 2.5 hour race from behind the wheel before turning the controls over to co-driver Trevor Hopwood.
